Getting there

Behind Poysdorf, towards the Czech border starts the Weinviertel District and its landscape looks like a slipped carpet. The slopes are filled with a typical "Kettenfadenmuster" of the vine rows and the villages are shaken together in the wide folds of the valleys.

One of them is called Herrnbaumgarten and for centuries has been known for viticulture. Even the russian Zar was suppllied with wines from Herrnbaumgarten.

Driving directions:

Vienna - hold directions towards Brünn - A5 to Schrick - B7 to Poysdorf - in Poysdorf after the traffic lights turn right, then immediately turn right, follow the road, then turn left, then right again, now you are on the road connecting Poysdorf - Herrnbaumgartn, only 5 km and you have arrived in the "ver-uckten Dorf". Here you only need to keep straight. The winery Bohrn is the third house on the left beyond the church.
